Although I am not a reader of Young Adult, I gave the Extended and Uncut version a shot. Truthfully, I am glad that I bought it for the discounted price of $4.99, rather than the regular $8.99 price tag. I don't think that the book would have been worth it otherwise, it was a fairly quick read.
I enjoyed the story. It was a very typical high-school angsty romance. Cue the indecisive, trying to be a good girl to please people around her heroine and the town's bad boy, and you got the entire gist of the book.
This was an enjoyable read, albeit a forgettable one.
Abbi Glines does know how to write one heck of a love scene, however, and I've really enjoyed her New Adult genre books.
Beau was a dirty talking bad boy (Yes, please!)
Ash was a heroine I wanted to smack for almost 75% of the book.
The story was nothing I haven't really read before, but I still liked it.
Fans of the Young Adult genre will really enjoy this. This reader however just does not have the stomach for THAT amount/level of angst.
